Cadillac always symbolized the pinnacle of American luxury. Their cars offered an unparalleled amount of panache and power compared to its rivals. The Eldorado was at the top of Cadillac's lineup for many years, and the Biarritz trim level was the king of them all. Named after an elegant seaside French town on the Bay of Biscay that was popular with many celebrities and those of high society, the Biarritz represented the best of what Cadillac had to offer.

Styling comes by way of Harley Earl, GM's most prolific designer of the 1950's. His iconic style can readily be seen in the exaggerated yet sophisticated lines of this classic Caddy. From the Dagmars of the front bumper to the sharp rear fins, the Eldorado is sure to catch the attention of passersby wherever you take it, especially when finished in bold Dakotah Red like this example. The optional gold grille and badges and an extra touch of high-class flair to this already extravagant automobile. It rides on steel wheels dressed in beautifully chromed hubcaps and classic whitewall bias ply tires. The immense amount of chrome and stainless on this Eldorado glimmers beautifully in the sunlight.

The interior is trimmed in red & white leather with plush red carpeting. The front bench seat is power adjustable and features a fold down center armrest. Also in the interior of this Biarritz, you'll find a padded dash, power windows, a power convertible top, and a pioneering Cadillac feature; the Autronic Eye which automatically dims the high beams when oncoming traffic is detected.

Underneath the gigantic hood of this timeless American icon, is the correct and powerful 365 cubic inch V8 engine fed by dual four barrel carburetors. That powerplant is connected to an innovative Hydramatic 4-speed automatic transmission, giving this Cadillac a much better city and highway driving experience than most other cars of the 1950's which were equipped with 2-speed units. Power steering and power brakes make maneuvering this large Cadillac a breeze.
