Corvette

Offered at:

Call For Price: 941-966-1900

PD:

The 1967 Corvette Sting Ray was the last Corvette of the second generation, and arguably after five years of refinements made it the best of the line. Changes were again modest such as five smaller front fender vents replaced the three larger ones and the flat-finish rockers conferred a lower profile. New was a single backup light mounted above the license plate and the previous models' wheel covers gave way to lug nuts concealed behind chrome center caps. Interior alterations included revised upholstery and the handbrake moved from beneath the dash to between the seats.  Today, absolutely beautifully restored and very striking in the very rare and desirable combination of Code 988 Marlboro Maroon exterior with Code 420 Saddle Tan interior.  Under the hood is a numbers matching  HE code 327CI boasting 300HP and linked to the 4-Speed Manual Transmission. Please contact one of our expert sales consultants for the most complete information on this beautiful vehicle. At a glance, it looks like a pure luxury boulevard cruiser. But look a little closer and you may find a badge that says “S-55”, and another that says “428”, revealing that this may not be the innocent convertible you think it is. It's 1 of only 145 ever built. The 1967 S-55 convertible is extremely rare. Under the hood sits the 428C.I. Super Marauder V8 mated to the smooth and strong Merc-O-Matic C-6 transmission. That monter under the hood produces 345hp and a mind-blowing 462lb-ft of torque! This luxurious Merc has enough power to blow away some of the high-end muscle cars of it's day and will still surprise anyone that dares to challenge it at a stoplight. That impressive drivetrain doesn't mean it loses any of it's luxury comfort and convenience though. It still has power steering and power front disc brakes as well as factory air conditioning, power driver's seat, a power top, and remote driver's mirror control. The S-55 package also includes tuned dual exhaust, and an engine dress-up kit that includes chrome plated valve covers, fan shroud, air cleaner and more. It's truly breathtaking on a car of this size. The Parchment interior is still just as roomy and plush as a standard Monterey. The exterior is finished in correct Trafalgar Blue accented by a white convertible top and glittering chromework. This Mercury is calling your name, don't let someone else get to it first!
