1964 Amphicar
770

1 of only 3,878! - Peppy 1,147cc 4-Cylinder Engine - 4-Speed Manual Transmission - Twin Propellers - Dual Side View Mirrors - Unique and Desirable! - Finished in Red - White & Grey Vinyl Interior - Upgraded Vintage Radio w/ Cassette PlayerYou can't be mad in an Amphicar. There's just something about this quirky and unique little car (or boat) that you can't help but smile about. Under the hood in the rear sits the 1,147cc 4-cylinder engine of English origin that sends it's power through either a 4-speed transmission on land, or to the dual propellers when in the water, or both when approaching the ramp after a day on the water. The 770 is named for it's ability to achieve 7 knots in the water and 70mph on land. Everything is kept dry with special extra seals and a bilge pump to ensure your Amphicar is kept afloat. The interior is covered in white and grey vinyl that accents the maroon exterior very nicely, as does the white convertible top and glittering chromework. Perhaps the best Amphicar story comes by way of President Lyndon B. Johnson, who kept his Amphicar at his ranch in Texas and would give tours to advisors and friends in his 770. Often, President Johnson would act as if the brakes had malfunctioned as he barreled the car towards a small lake, his guests would begin to panic until they realized they were still dry and the car had leveled out on the water. It's obvious President Johnson loved his Amphicar and had many fun years with it, and now you have the opportunity to do the same in this delightful little red 770. Rare and Desirable 21-Window Bus! - Recent Rotisserie Restoration - Upgraded 1,776cc Engine - Rebuilt Transaxle - Front Disc Brakes - Rancho Freeway Flyer Transmission - Tinted Windows - Fold Back Cloth Roof - Sealing Wax Red & Pearl WhiteThe Volkswagen Type 2 or “Bus” is an icon of the 1960's. They're reliable, quirky, fun, and practical. Most busses are a common sight, but there are two models that stand out amongst the crowd. One of those special models is the rare 21-window Samba model, making it one of the most collectable Volkswagens ever produced. This example has undergone a recent rotisserie restoration and has had some tasteful upgrades installed. The most important upgrades are in the rear with a rebuilt, more powerful, larger capacity 1,776cc engine and a new Rancho Freeway Flyer transmission for better drivability on today's roads. Upfront, you'll find disc brakes, a very welcome safety upgrade in this classic VW. All 21 windows are tinted in correct “Coke Bottle” bluish-green, and the fold-back roof works great! The fit and finish on this Bus are exceptional and all the seals feel brand new. The engine bay, along with just about everything on this car is nearly immaculate and likely better than it was when new. It is finished in unique Sealing Wax Red accented by a Pearl White top. (Note: "Pearl White" is not a pearlescent color, just the color name.) This is one classic VW you don't want to miss out on as it will surely increase in value for years to come. 1964 Plymouth
Barracuda
Offered at:
Call For Price: 941-966-1900
PD:
Most Powerful Engine Available! - 273C.I. V8 Engine - Pushbutton TorqueFlite Automatic Transmission - Unique Design - Bucket Seats - Bold Red Interior - Finished in White w/ Thin Black StripeFord's Mustang wasn't exactly the best kept secret in the automotive world before it's release, and this gave Chrysler and General Motors time to react. While General Motors thought they were prepared with the Corvair Monza, Chrysler didn't have anything they considered sporty enough to compete with this newcomer, but they had the Valiant. Chrysler designers took the Plymouth Valiant design and tweaked it into a graceful two-door fastback that sported the largest single piece of glass ever fitted to a normal production car at the time. The Barracuda was born, named after one of the most feared vicious fish in the world. The Barracuda was successfully introduced for the 1964 model year and beat the Mustang to market by two weeks. Of course, we all know the story of the Mustang and it's success, but the Barracuda offered a unique experience for those that wanted something a little different. This first year Barracuda is an excellent example that sports the highest power engine available, the potent 273C.I. V8, and is connected to a TorqueFlite automatic transmission which is one of the last to be operated by Pushbutton controls which featured a unique switch to ensure there were no accidental gear changes. The interior of this Barracuda sports bold red vinyl on bucket seats in the front and a comfortable bench in the rear. Behind the rear seats is a convenient large storage area for anything too large to fit in the trunk. The dashboard is simple and sleek just like the rest of this charming little Mopar. The exterior is finished in White with a thin black stripe that follows the unique lines of this one-of-a-kind Plymouth. This bold color combination certainly brings this car a lot of attention in our showroom, and will certainly bring admiration and smiles from others wherever you take it. This Barracuda is just waiting for a new owner to make new memories with, why not make that new owner you?
