It was truly an icon of 1960's car culture and has been immortalized in song, art, and other mediums. Designed by the legendary Larry Shinoda, the Stingray is sharp, modern, flashy 60's perfection. It looked like it was from another planet with its bulging fenders and super sleek shape, catching the attention of everyone. It carved the way for every Corvette that followed, and solidified Chevrolet's presence in the sports car market. From the punchy little 327C.I. V8 to the massive 427C.I. big block, the C2 Corvette Stingray came with a wide variety of powertrain options. One of the more unique options available from 1963 to 1965 only was the 327C.I. V8 fitted with mechanical fuel injection.Making an incredible 375hp from the small block engine, the L84 optioned Fuelie Corvette was a marvel of technology for its time and offered a unique experience from its carbureted siblings. The 1965 model year marked the end of fuel injection for the Corvette until the later Crossfire Injection of 1982 and then Tuned Port Injection in 1985. The early fuel injected Corvettes didn't sell as well as carbureted models due to its high price tag and the specialized service it required. Only 771 Corvettes were fitted with the option in its final year, and this is one of those very special cars. Due to their complexity, many fuel injected Corvettes of this era had their intakes swapped and then topped with a carburetor, leaving many original fuel injection units lost to time. But this example is all correct with matching numbers on the engine, Muncie 4-speed transmission, and Rochester fuel injection unit. The rear differential is date code correct and features a 3.36 final drive ratio with Positraction to help put the power to the pavement. This spectacular example comes with other sought-after options, increasing its rarity and value. It's fitted with power 4-wheel disc brakes, power windows, and rare telescoping steering wheel so you can more easily find the perfect driving position in this one-of-a-kind 'Vette. The interior sports its correct Saddle leather upholstery, another rare and desirable option. The interior also features a 6,500rpm redline tachometer, 160mph speedometer, Delco AM-FM radio, color-matched seatbelts, 3-spoke steering wheel with wood-look rim, a large, carpeted storage area behind the seats, and that iconic Muncie shifter in the center. The exterior is finished in gorgeous Milano Maroon, of which only 2,831 were painted in that year, and is accented by glimmering chrome work and desirable aluminum turbine wheels wrapped in Goodyear white line tires. The underside of this Corvette is just as nice as the top and shows its original bare fiberglass with not covered with paint or undercoat. This classic fuel-injected Stingray is ready to be the centerpiece of any collection, and shut down any 413C.I. Super Stock Dodges it may come across along the way. Please contact one of our expert sales consultants for the most complete information on this beautiful vehicle. It's a car enthusiast's dream; a powerful American V8 engine in a lightweight European sports car body. The original Cobra grew in popularity quickly, and so did its engine size, from a mere 260C.I. in the earliest models to a massive 427C.I. for the Mark III model. The original Cobra production run ran until 1967, but the car had such a lasting popularity that people began to create their own replica Cobras, some of them even more powerful and easier to drive than the originals. This Cobra has been expertly crafted by Backdraft Racing of South Africa. Backdraft makes some of the highest quality Cobra replicas on the market today and this one has been specially equipped to honor the father of the Cobra, Carroll Shelby. Shelby liked his personal Cobras a bit different than most of the ones that were released on the street. What separates this Cobra from most example's you'll see is the smooth hood with the absence of a scoop as most Cobras have, as well as the rear exit exhaust. Both of these features are exactly how Carroll Shelby himself preferred his personal car, as seen on original chassis number CSX3178, which is the car he kept until his passing in 2012. The rear exit exhaust helps to make the car much more streetable and prevents the driver from burning themselves on the hot sidepipes. The smooth hood gives the car a much sleeker and more elegant appearance. The engine comes from Iconic Parts and is built on a bored & stroked Dart Special High Performance 351 Windsor block. It features a 4.125 inch bore, Eagle forged crank with a 4-inch stroke, Mahle forged pistons, Edelbrock aluminum E Street cylinder heads, Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum intake, Comp Cams hydraulic roller cam, hydraulic roller lifter kit, and roller rocker arms. Providing fuel is a Holley 770CFM 4-barrel carburetor while an MSD coil and distributor provide the spark for this potent powertrain. It also features a Ford Motorsport high volume oil pump, Edelbrock water pump, Moroso 8 quart oil pan, and a billet steel flywheel. Power is transferred through a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission and the independent rear axle from a modern Mustang sporting 3.43 gears. Other suspension and brake components come from a BMW 3-series for a sporty yet refined experience. It's finished in exquisite Indigo Blue metallic paired with a gorgeous Tobacco brown leather interior. The unique polished front and rear AC emblems on this Cobra were specially made in California and pay homage to the origins of this iconic car. Please contact one of our expert sales consultants for the most complete information on this beautiful vehicle.
