Flachbau is the German name given to this extremely rare variant of the 911 Turbo, but is often known as the Slantnose or Flatnose in English, for it's distinctively more aerodynamic, wedge-like shape, making it more akin to other supercars of the 1980's. The Flachbau was created after widespread admiration of the 935 racecar, with which it shares it's sleek shape. The standard Flachbau is already an extremely desirable and rare car, but this example adds onto that with it's “505” option code which denotes it at a true factory steel U.S. specification Slantnose, making it 1 of only 160 ever built. This makes this car an extremely rare find in what is a veritable sea of European specification and grey market cars. Under the bonnet is a high-performance 3.3L turbocharged flat-six mated to a 4-speed manual transmission and a factory optioned limited slip differential. The engine features an upgraded turbocharger with a GReddy boost controller, titanium exhaust system, Electromotive direct ignition with dual spark plug heads, polished water to air intercooler, and more! Four-piston Brembo brakes with cross-drilled rotors on every corner ensure that this über rare Porsche will stop on a dime. The exterior is finished in sleek, timeless, and correct Schwarz (Black) and is accented very nicely with bright yellow touches on the badges. The wheels are a special 17” 3-piece one-off custom made design and are wrapped in high-performance Dunlop rubber with 235/45/ZR17 in the front and 315/35/ZR17 in the rear. Factory options include a rare sunroof/moonroof for open top enjoyment, Porsche alarm system, dual power seats, and a high-end Porsche Alpine stereo unit with 2-CD changer and amplifier. The interior is covered in correct smooth Silver-Grey leather and features a leather wrapped Momo steering wheel and shift knob. The Toyota FJ40 carried on that extremely impressive off-road ability and ended up being the longest running and most iconic generation of the Land Cruiser. With a total production run spanning from 1960-2001, there's no doubt that this vehicle has had an important role in automotive history. The FJ40 was a massive success in South America, where tough off-road vehicles are a necessity in many places. This 1982 example was imported from Venezuela and has recently gone through a nut and bolt restoration to return it to its original glory. Under the hood is the sturdy 4.2L 2F inline 6-cylinder engine mated to a 4-speed manual transmission and a dual range transfer case.
