GTO 389C.I. Tri-Power

Offered at:

Call For Price: 941-966-1900

PD:

- Tri-Power 389C.I. V8 Engine - 4-Speed Muncie M20 Manual Transmission - 3.23 Safe-T-Track Rear End - PHS Documentation! - Rally Gauge Package w/ Factory Tach - Power Front Disc Brakes - Rare Correct Starlight Black Exterior with Correct Blue Interior - Strato-Bucket Seats and Center Console - Redline Tires - Factory Gauges - Working AM Radio!“Little GTO, You're really lookin' fine, Three deuces and a four-speed, And a three-eighty-nine”. The GTO was one of Pontiacs biggest hits, and you could say that it came down to great marketing with the song, the controversial tiger advertisements, Esso's tiger tails, and US Royal's Tiger Paw tires, but we all know it was because the car was just so good! The GTO was created by John DeLorean with hesitant approval from GM executives, but was an instant hit and is considered by many to be the first muscle car. This 1965 example has been extremely well restored and sports some unique features. Under the hood sits a ferocious rebuilt 389C.I. V8 engine that is believed to be original and has been upgraded to a Tri-Power induction system with Rochester carburetors for some extra get-up-and-go! That powerplant is mated to a Muncie M20 4-speed manual transmission and a 3.23 Safe-T-Track rear axle to put that power to the pavement. Other features on this Goat include power disc brakes, Rally gauge package with factory tachometer, heavy duty radiator, quick ratio steering, T3 headlights, working Delco AM radio, and more! Though it's the color combination that's the most interesting and unique part, with it's correct Starlight Black exterior finish matched to the correct Blue vinyl interior with Strato-Bucket seats, a combination that you're unlikely to see anywhere else. This little Pon-Pon also comes with PHS documentation which proves its GTO status as well as original options and equipment. You know you want it, so get ready to “Turn it on, wind it up, blow it out, GTO” and contact one of our friendly sales specialists online or over the phone, or you can visit our showroom/museum in sunny Venice, Florida for an up-close and personal viewing. The Pontiac GTO was already a car with massive performance numbers and a strong following set up by John DeLorean and Pontiac's genius marketing strategies, but The Judge took it to a whole new level. Window Sticker! - 389C.I. V8 Engine - Tri-Power Intake - PHS Docs! - Upgraded Turbo-Hydramatic 400 Transmission - Factory Air Conditioning - Power Steering - Power Brakes - Correct Nightwatch Blue Poly - Correct Blue Interior w/ Bucket Seats and Console“C'mon and turn it on, wind it up, blow it out, GTO!” The model year 1965 GTO was the car Ronny and the Daytonas sang praises over in their hit song of the same title. The GTO was an instant legend as soon as it hit showroom floors in mid-60's and began a muscle car revolution! This example has the extremely famous 389C.I. V8 engine under the hood being fed by the renowned Tri-Power triple 2-barrel carburetor set up. The drivetrain has been subtly upgraded to the heavy duty Turbo-Hydramatic 400 unit, much preferable over the old 2-speed transmission that it once sported. Other features on this stunning “Goat” include power steering, power brakes, and even factory air conditioning! Also included is the matching window sticker from Pontiac Historic Services (PHS) and other PHS documentation! The exterior is finished in absolutely stunning Nightwatch Blue and is nicely accented by the light blue interior with bucket seats and a center console. It's a beautiful color combination that is rarely seen, but is sure to be appreciated by all enthusiasts. So stop on by our showroom/museum or contact us online or over the phone today to get this little GTO delivered to your front door today and drive your neighbors wild with this spectacular piece of muscle car history! Please contact one of our expert sales consultants for the most complete information on this beautiful vehicle.
