3100 Pick-Up

Offered at:

$59,983

PD:

The 1950s were a special time for American automobiles. Chrome, big fenders, narrow wheels, and futuristic comfort features were all the rage. Chevrolet was perhaps the most pervasive brand of the era thanks to big hits like the tri-five Bel Air's. This popular trend extended even into Chevys pickup lineup. Introduced in 1955, the Chevrolet Task Force pickups featured all the right stuff, plus offered a heavier duty chassis than its predecessors.  The Chevy Task Force came with a striking new design that mirrored Chevys passenger car designs such as the sculptured headlamp visors helped to create a racy profile. The Task Force series also bought never-before-seen comforts to the pickup segment, including a wraparound windshield, wraparound rear glass on Deluxe Cab models, a larger interior, power steering, power brakes, a 12-volt electrical system, and an optional automatic transmission. Whats more, 1955 was the first year for Chevys legendary small-block V-8.  But it was 1956 when Chevrolet built the truck you see here. This 3100 model is nicely equipped with the reliable V8 and mated to an automatic transmission as well as air conditioning to keep you comfortable in the hot summer months.  It does sport the optional Deluxe Cab with the rounded rear glass and is superbly finished in a gorgeous bright red paint with a solid wood bed.  These trucks are one of the most sought after classic American trucks on the market.  One in this condition wont last long so call us now!  Please contact one of our expert sales consultants for the most complete information on this beautiful vehicle. They will be happy to answer any questions you may have, give you a complete walk-around, and in the process, supply you with the most detailed description of the vehicle. We gladly accept trades! This beautiful example sports a 454C.I. V8 engine under the hood paired to a strong Turbo-Hydramatic 400 automatic transmission and a 12-bolt rear end, giving this stunning muscle machine plenty of power to smoke just about anything that dares to challenge it at a stoplight. Other features on this Chevelle include power front disc brakes, power steering, factory air conditioning, and the desirable U14 gauge package. The exterior was an evolution of the much-loved 1970 design with a more squared-off front end with a change from quad headlamps with a bumper integrated turn signal to a single lamp on each side with a turn signal and side reflector combination. The rear was changed as well to a somewhat Corvette-like quad round taillight design with more chrome and a larger SS logo. The exterior on this Super Sport has been refinished in bold Cranberry Red accented by black D88 sport stripes and the 5-spoke Chevrolet Special Sport wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The interior in covered in smooth black vinyl and features front bucket seats and a center console that houses the legendary “Horseshoe” shifter. This Chevelle looks to have been gone-over quite recently; the bottom is clean, the pinch welds are in amazing condition for their age, and the steering rack looks to have been recently replaced. Overall, this 1971 Chevelle would make an excellent classic muscle car that you could have fun and make memories with for years to come.
