Those advertisements came coupled with similar efforts from U.S. Royal (Uniroyal) with their new “Tiger Paw” tires coming as standard equipment on G.T.O.s, and Esso giving out faux tiger tails along with their “Tiger in Your Tank” ads. Under the hood is the powerful 359C.I. straight-8 engine making a stunning 212hp and 330lb-ft of torque, extremely impressive numbers for it's day. That powerplant is mated to a Packard Ultramatic automatic transmission that provides smooth and effortless power delivery.
