Those advertisements came coupled with similar efforts from U.S. Royal (Uniroyal) with their new “Tiger Paw” tires coming as standard equipment on G.T.O.s, and Esso giving out faux tiger tails along with their “Tiger in Your Tank” ads. The G.T.O. was an absolute hit and an instant classic. It would forever be a legend in the automotive world. This G.T.O. sports the 389C.I.
