GTO 389C.I. Tri-Power

Offered at:

Call For Price: 941-966-1900

PD:

- Tri-Power 389C.I. V8 Engine - 4-Speed Muncie M20 Manual Transmission - 3.23 Safe-T-Track Rear End - PHS Documentation! - Rally Gauge Package w/ Factory Tach - Power Front Disc Brakes - Rare Correct Starlight Black Exterior with Correct Blue Interior - Strato-Bucket Seats and Center Console - Redline Tires - Factory Gauges - Working AM Radio! “Little GTO, You're really lookin' fine, Three deuces and a four-speed, And a three-eighty-nine”. The GTO was one of Pontiacs biggest hits, and you could say that it came down to great marketing with the song, the controversial tiger advertisements, Esso's tiger tails, and US Royal's Tiger Paw tires, but we all know it was because the car was just so good! The GTO was created by John DeLorean with hesitant approval from GM executives, but was an instant hit and is considered by many to be the first muscle car. This 1965 example has been extremely well restored and sports some unique features. Under the hood sits a ferocious rebuilt 389C.I. V8 engine that is believed to be original and has been upgraded to a Tri-Power induction system with Rochester carburetors for some extra get-up-and-go! That powerplant is mated to a Muncie M20 4-speed manual transmission and a 3.23 Safe-T-Track rear axle to put that power to the pavement. Other features on this Goat include power disc brakes, Rally gauge package with factory tachometer, heavy duty radiator, quick ratio steering, T3 headlights, working Delco AM radio, and more! Though it's the color combination that's the most interesting and unique part, with it's correct Starlight Black exterior finish matched to the correct Blue vinyl interior with Strato-Bucket seats, a combination that you're unlikely to see anywhere else. This little Pon-Pon also comes with PHS documentation which proves its GTO status as well as original options and equipment. You know you want it, so get ready to “Turn it on, wind it up, blow it out, GTO” and contact one of our friendly sales specialists online or over the phone, or you can visit our showroom/museum in sunny Venice, Florida for an up-close and personal viewing. Challenger T/A

Offered at:

Call For Price: 941-966-1900

PD:

- Signed by T/A Racing Driver Sam Posey! - Numbers Matching 340C.I. Six Pack V8 - Heavy Duty A727 Transmission - Slap Stik Shifter - Real A53 Code T/A! - Lightweight Fiberglass Scooped Hood - Side Exit Exhaust - Mopar Rallye Wheels - Power Steering - Power Brakes - T/A Spoilers - Finished in correct FY1 Top Banana - Black Interior w/ Bucket Seats & Console The Dodge Challenger T/A is one of the most sought-after classic pony cars on the market. Sure, there were Challengers with bigger and more powerful engines, but the weight of those engines often made them feel heavy and cumbersome to drive. The T/A was a totally different animal. Under the lightweight factory fiberglass scooped hood sits the numbers matching, potent 340C.I. V8 fed by three 2-barrel Holley carburetors and exhaling through dual side exit exhaust, mated to the super strong A727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission with the 'Slap Stik' shifter and an 8¾” rear axle. This powertrain, as well as the fiberglass front and rear spoilers, make for a lightweight yet planted racing homologation car that feels like its ready to hit the track and dominate over any opponent. This was proven in the 1970 Trans-Am racing series where the Challenger held its ground excellently against competitors, with drivers like Sam Posey who was at the wheel of the #76 and #77 Challengers. This Challenger has been signed by Posey himself on the air cleaner lid for all to see when you pop those hood pins. This is a real deal T/A with the A53 option shown on the trim tag as well as the supplemental Trans Am trim tag and correct, T/A only, engine code in the VIN. Other features on this unique Challenger include power steering and brakes, high-performance aluminum radiator, Rallye instrument cluster, painted dual racing mirrors, as well as Mopar Rallye wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A rubber. Chrysler Corporation was very well known for their bright and whacky colors in this era called the High Impact Paint (HIP) line. This T/A is finished in one of those very desirable High Impact Paint colors, FY1 Top Banana, or Lemon Twist as it would be called for Plymouth. The black striping, hood, and spoilers accent that bright color very nicely and really make this car pop! Inside you'll find a High trim grade black vinyl interior with bucket seats and a center console. The trunk is very clean and houses the spare wheel and tire. Underneath, this Challenger T/A is exceptionally clean and solid. This car would make the perfect addition to any serious classic collection, especially for those who may already have a Z/28 or Boss Mustang and want to complete their trinity of Trans-Am homologation cars from the era with one of the nicest T/As on the market. Please feel welcome to visit our showroom/museum in sunny Venice, Florida for a personal viewing of this delightful Dodge, or you may contact a member of our sales team online or over the phone at your convenience for more information about putting this one in your garage!
